The Hotel Milvia is the former home of Ing. Ricardo Fernandez Peralta. The Caribbean style plantation house, which dates from 1930, has been lovingly restored to its former glory. Gracious architecture, an outstanding collection of modern Costa Rican art and period furnishings combine with modern amenities and truly personal service to create a unique atmosphere, an oasis of tranquility just minutes from the city centre.
Our nine spacious guest rooms look over a plant filled internal courtyard or have mountain views. All rooms have king size beds and private bathrooms and are equipped with cable television and telephones. There are comfortable sitting rooms and lush tropical gardens where you can enjoy a quiet drink. The upstairs reading room has a library, games and internet access and leads onto a wide veranda with panoramic views. A continental breakfast buffet is included in the rate; lunch and dinner are also available and drinks are served round the clock.
The hotel is located just east of the city centre in a quiet street in San Pedro, home to the University of Costa Rica. You’ll find good shopping, nightlife and a variety of restaurants and cafes close by. The University campus is a short stroll away. The area is well served by public transport, the city center is ten minutes away and the airport half an hour. There is gated parking on site.
